Information on Photo editing software and photo plugins that are use to edit photos for this website: Ashampoo Photo Commander: It cost around £45 but depending on time of year you get a lot cheaper on Ashampoo website for around £15. I use it mainly to import the photos from my cameras on to my laptop it will also delete the photos on your camera for you and what I like about it when you right click photo, you can open up additional photo editing software which main reason I keeping coming back to it after trying other photo organizing software. Two things you need to do after installing it is uninstall Microsoft Photo app from laptop or PC, you can google how do this or download some Uninstaller software do this for you and use it tidy up your laptop or PC of unwanted software (I am currently using Ashampoo Uninstaller 10 on my laptop to do this). The other thing is to edit the service settings in software or Ashampoo keep ads about software which might like to buy from them. Affinity Photo: This is professional photo editing program, it cost around £49 but again depending on the time of the year you may get cheaper on the Affinity website, you can do a lot with this software and would recommend doing search on YouTube for Affinity Photo Tutorials, it does take a bit time waking up on my laptop and I usually open it from inside Ashampoo Photo Commander. I use the software to do resizing of photos, photo editing, exporting photos as jpeg files for use on this website. One feature that I been using alot is its great at Panorama stitching but you have to spend time learning how to use program. You can open up most photo plugins from inside this software. Filter Forge: It cost around $59 for the basic edition again you pick it up cheaper on Filter Forge depending on the time of the year. I tend to use only one of 13,380 filters that this software as and that the ‘Picture fade border effects by Spice’ so don’t alway upgrade to latest edition of Filter Forge. If want use it for filters on offer its fairy easy program to use and also let you create your own filters in the professional edition. Its stand alone program or photo plugin which can be open up in Affinity Photo. I would recommend buying the basic edition and if find you are using Filter Forge a lot upgrade to the Professional Edition. Filter Forge is one product company so they do bring new version of the software which they hope you pay to upgrade to each year. You can find more information about Filter Forge at this link. Topaz Sharpen Al: It cost around $79.99, again you may pick it up cheaper on the Topaz labs website depending on the time of the year. Its worth every penny and will see a different to your photo it does take a few minutes to do its magic and its very easy to use. I tend use it on all photos when do my photo editing, its stand alone program or photo plugin which can open up in Affinity Photo. One point when buying Topaz software you get one year of free updates and you own product for life but then you can buy upgrade license for all Topaz products each year to get more updates. I don’t use this software as much as Topaz Sharpen Al, I tend use it after putting the photo through Topaz Sharpen if use fast shutter speed and there a lot of noise in the photo well worth using it, its easy to use, its stand alone program or photo plugin which can be open in Affinity Photo. You can find more information on Topaz DeNoise Al at this link. Topaz Adjust Al: It cost around $79.99, again you may pick it up cheaper on the Topaz labs website depending on the time of the year. This software will transform a photo into something brilliant and worth every penny you spend on it, again its very easy to use and one of these products that will not admit to using, download trial version and dig out some old photos that you taken which are just not right and see how they transform in something different and think you end up buying it. Topaz Studio 2: It cost around $99.99, again you may pick it up cheaper on the Topaz labs website depending on the time of the year. Again its one of these programs that you should download trial version of and try it out on some photos and think you end up buying it, you will find you a lot photo editing in it. Xara Designer Pro X: It cost around £219.00, again you may pick it up cheaper on the Magix website depending on the time year. It does graphic design, photo editing, desktop publishing and website design all in one program. I do use it for photo editing but mainly for website design and which using to write this web page. The above software programs are ones that use daily to edit my photos, I have work out what work best for me by trial and error over several years of use.
