3rd March 2017 ride to Galgate

For me it was quick ride down cycle path from Halton Station into Lancaster where I stop to take some photos of the daffodils out in flower on St George Quay, The weather forecast was not promising as followed the cycle path down the Lune Valley to Condor Green where stop for a coffee and cake at Cafe d'Lune.
After my brew stop, the weather still did look promising with dark clouds over the hills of Bowland Fells where I was planning on riding to and I do have job during week where do get soaking when we to work in the rain so I decide to cut ride short, has had plenty things to do at home, as I hope you notice from redevelopment work on the website.
So I followed the cycle path into Glasson, then followed the B 5290 out of Glasson heading towards Condor Bridge which use to cross over the River Condor, then short section on the A588 before following the lane from Condor Green to Galgate.
In Galgate, I cross over the A6, then followed the lane out Galgate and then headed through Ellel, stopping in Ward Houses to take photo of first Primroses of the year that were out in flower.
After photo stop, there was a bit of climbing to do, has rode through the hamlet of Hazelrigg, then headed along Little Fell Road before following Quermore Road down into Caton where got back on Lune Valley cycle path, which followed back to Halton.
I was quite surprise to find that I done just over 20 miles, for those of you thinking of doing this ride, I think it work best if start from Condor Green and do the tarmac sections of ride first.
