I bought this species from Ashwood Nurseries, I may make mistake buying this one the label mark it as tender and keep in Alpine House. I think, I shall put fleece over pot that planted Cyclaman colchicum in to protect it from the Winter weather.

Plant description: A rare and charming autumn-flowering cyclamen, Cyclamen colchicum is prized for its elegant blooms and beautifully patterned foliage. Native to the woodland regions around the eastern Black Sea, this tuberous perennial produces delicate, reflexed flowers in shades of soft pink to rosy mauve from late summer into autumn, often appearing before or alongside the leaves.

The rounded to heart-shaped leaves emerge with attractive silver marbling and intricate green markings, creating a decorative carpet that remains appealing throughout the cooler months. Growing to around 10-15 cm in height, Cyclamen colchicum thrives in humus-rich, well-drained soil in partial to full shade, making it ideal for woodland gardens, shaded rockeries, and naturalised plantings beneath deciduous trees.

Hardy and relatively easy to grow when given suitable conditions, this species gradually forms picturesque colonies, bringing late-season colour and year-round foliage interest to sheltered garden settings. Its refined flowers and ornamental leaves make it a valuable addition to collections of woodland and shade-loving plants.
