Ride report by Simeon Orme I arrange meet up with Michael Prescott at Cafe  at JC Country just out side Forton, so follow the Lune Valley Cycle path from Halton up to Caton, then it was roadwork for next several miles as make my way through Quermore before dropping down to Five Lanes End. Then there was a bit more road work as I followed the lanes through Shireshead before getting to JC Country at Cleveley Bank Farm where I met up with Michael in the Cafe, he had rode up Chorley. We spent some time in the cafe chatting before heading out on the next part of the ride, but once we got going there was a bit of road work to do, we cross over the River Wyre at Cleveley Bridge and then followed the lanes out of Wyre Valley up to Fell End Farm to follow the bridleway up Grizedale Bridge from there we followed the lanes through Oakenclough. After climbing of Oakenclough on Delph Lane we soon turn on to Permitted bridleway which followed down to school at Calder Vale where we stop for lunch on bench outside church which next door to school. After our lunch stop, we followed path from the church down through the woods into Calder Vale. Calder Vale interesting place to ride through, there a bit of climbing to do as we headed out of the village, we then turn on to Strickens Lane before heading down Long Lane into Barnacre. From Barnacre we headed along Lingart Lane into Garstang for afternoon brew at The Fig Tree Cafe which was closing down in one week time and moving to Lancaster in the new year. After our brewstop I said my goodbyes to Michael, I headed out of Garstang on the B5272 which followed for next few miles before following Stoney Lane up to Clifton House Farm and then lane down to Cockerham Road Bridge where turn on to towpath along side Lancaster Canal which follow into and through Lancaster before turn off it at Lune Aquduct to head back up the Lune Valley Cycle path back to Halton.
