Ride report by Simeon Orme It was another crap weather weekend, the weather had manage calm a bit on the Sunday, so decide it would be good ideal to have ride up to Wray for coffee and cake. So I followed the usual route up the Lune Valley, along the cycle path, then the A683 and then along the B6480 to Wray which is just under 7 miles from Halton and yes may have blown most way up the Lune Valley by strong tail wind. After my coffee and cake, I decide it would not be wise thing to go any further due to strong head wind that I face heading back down the Lune Valley. So I headed out of Wray along Back Lane which is bridleway, before following the tarmac into Hornby where I did short section on the A683 before heading down to Lyon Bridge which I use to cross over the River Lune. Then headed along Fleet Lane and Lea Lane. Yes I will hold my hand up and say that did get off walk up some of the hills due to strong head wind. I did short photo stop in the grounds of Saint Saviour’s Church in Aughton, trying to take few photos of the Spring flowers. Then its fairly easy ride against the head wind , along Aughton Road and Kirkby Lonsdale back to Halton.
