Out with the Lancashire Rough-Stuff Fellowship by Joan Marsh
My first time out with Rough Stuff
What would it be like?
With nervous apprehension
I set out on my bike
To join the crew near Whalley
For a 10.00 am depart,
I met the ten participants
And they really warmed by heart
For we all got on together
And enjoyed the fellowship,
The ride it went round Pendle Hill
It was a super trip!
The weather so exactly right
For a day out on the bike,
On and off road we cycled
The views were all to like.
A welcoming Sadden Coffee Shop
An equally delightful lunch
Back to Spring Wood in high spirits
A friendly, encouraging bunch.
It had been a leisurely bike ride
With time to look around
And enjoy the chit chat
It was altogether sound!
So you see I am delighted
To be a Rough Stuff member
And I look forward to another run
On the eighth day of September
