Back at the car park at Moor Top
The ride report by Simeon Orme
After Peter and I had arrived at the Moor Top car park, the nine of us headed down to Hawkhead through Roger Ground for morning coffee.
After morning coffee, we headed out of Hawkhead and through the hamlet of Colthouse, to Colthouse Platation, where we turn on our first track of the day which follow up to Rough How, then followed the main bridleway on to Claife Heights, where we stop for lunch on the side of the track above Wise Een Tarn for Fred to fix his puncture.
After lunch continue along the track and followed it through to Near Sawrey. Then enjoy freewheel into the Esthwaite Valley, then followed the lanes through to Ridding Wood before heading a short distance towards Lakeside on the main road between be Hawkhead and Newby Bridge. We soon join our next track which we followed over in to the Dale Park valley; we then followed the lanes through Force Mill, then we headed up the Grizedale Valley towards Satterthwaite, just before Satterthwaite Bridge we turn on to the Moor Lane track and then followed the bridleway up on to Parkamoor, then followed the track through Low Parkamoor  and back into Grizedale Forest Park where we followed various cycle tracks back to the Moor Top car park.
