Ride report by Simeon Orme
Well it was bound to happen this year, I turn up to start of the ride at Stainforth and come 10.00am no one else had turn up! There plenty were reasons for several members not turning up, like moving house, on holiday with the chairman of the RSF and on holiday in Canada and Alaska.
Anyway I headed out of  Stainforth and cross over the B6479, then followed the lanes through Little Stainforth, then followed them up to Helwith Bridge where I rejoined the B6479, then followed it up to Horton-in-Ribbledale, where join the Horton-in-Ribbledale to Greenfield track, you can ride most of this track, there few sections where I get off push the bike!
As rain which was forecasted had arrived, has I was dropping down into Langstrothdale and has I was myself, I decide I would keep to the tarmac for the rest of the day. So headed down Langstrothdale, then headed along Dubb’s Lane into Buckden, then followed the B6160 through Starbotton and stop for lunch in Kettlewell.
After lunch I carry down Wharfedale, then turn on to Hawkwick Lane and follow it up Littondale to Halton Gill, then followed the road back over to Stainforth.
