Ride report by Simeon Orme
Due clash with the Lancashire Group Walk only three of us turn up for start of the ride, after cafe stop in Kirkby Lonsdale, we headed out of Kirkby Lonsdale on the B6254, at Kearwick we turn off  the ‘B road’ to follow the lane pass Nursery Hill Plantation  up the Lune Valley, after about mile then followed the bridleway through Deanbiggin back on to the B6254, which we followed for short distance up to Belle Vue Farm , where we followed the track over to Tosca Cottage. The last part of  this track was wet! So we decided we would stick to the lanes for a bit, so we followed the lanes through Tosca, Icornshaw, Carlingwha and Lupton Hall down to the A65 which followed for short distance towards Lupton. We turn on to Jubilee Lane, we then headed through Greenlane End, Lupton Mill and Badger Gate before turning on to our next track which we followed up to Newbiggin, the last part of this track the hedges on each side of  the track were over grown which made pushing the bikes a bit difficult in places, which we report to Cumbria County Council Ranger later on in the day, from Newbiggn we followed the Puddlemire Lane down the Lupton Valley to Farleton. Part way down the valley there was RAF search and rescue helicopter and several vechicles from Kendal Mountain Rescue park beside the road. From Farlton we cross over the A6070 and followed the lanes over Chapel Hill and around into Holme, where stop for some lunch.
After lunch we followed the lanes through Holme Mills, Hilderstone and Cinderbarrow before joining the A6070 for short distance before following the lanes through Priest Hutton to Borwick, where we followed Keer Holme Lane to Newton where we followed the B6254 through Whittington back to Kirkby Lonsdale.
